Avro Lancaster I (ME691 AA-R) on a mission to Homberg on 1944-07-21
On Thursday, 20 July 1944, (a part of) the aircraft of the 75 squadron (RNZAF), took off for a mission to Homberg in Germany from a station (airfield) in or near Mepal.
One of the crew members was Flight Sergeant A C Fletcher RNZAF. He departed for his mission at 23:35.
He flew with a Avro Lancaster (type I, with serial ME691 and code AA-R). His mission and of the other crew members was planned for Friday, 21 July 1944.

Front Row L to R F/L Joseph Stevens,- navigator, Plt. Off. Harold (Dick) Whittington,- pilot, Sgt Ronald John Morton Batty, mid upper gunner. Sgt Don W Gore was the only survivor and was taken prisoner and sent to camps Dulag Luft and Stalag Luft VII.
