Handley Page Halifax II (W7857 VR-O) on a mission to Frisian Islands on 1943-01-10
On Saturday, 09 January 1943, (a part of) the aircraft of the 419 squadron (RCAF), took off for a mission to Frisian Islands in Netherlands from a station (airfield) in or near Middleton St George.
One of the crew members was Flight Sergeant H A Dunn RCAF. He departed for his mission at 16:32.
He flew with a Handley Page Halifax (type II, with serial W7857 and code VR-O). His mission and of the other crew members was planned for Sunday, 10 January 1943.

Found in my grandparents papers, the attached photograph of the Halifax 419 Barker crew taken on 6th January 1943, 3 days before they were killed in action.
My great uncle was Sergeant Ronald Sackville-Golden, the sole RAF member of the crew with the other 6 members being from the RCAF.
