Alt Name: --. Opened: 1914. Status in 1944: WW1 use only.. Current use: PS. Remarks: During WW1 the airfield was a training base with up to 3000 people being billeted there. Three of the 6 bases for the original & wooden hangars still exist under the grass & lie along the western edge of the field. The existing brick barrack hut is used as the Clubhouse now. The site is now used as a private strip. (02/2003)
