2359 Majority of Bn vehicles arrived safely by this time, but several tracked vehicles were still ditched on the route due to icy surface ]]>

Highland Light Infantry on a cross-country move to Martigny and beyond. They continued to support them on the following day in seizing the high wooded ridge south-west of Falaise. Meanwhile the rest of the brigade concentrated behind 71st Infantry Brigade, ready to pass through when they reached the Falaise-Argentan road. This they did by a brilliant night attack down the ridge.
