Avro Lancaster II (DS778 EQ-U) on a mission to Kassel on 1943-10-23

On Friday, 22 October 1943, (a part of) the aircraft of the 408 squadron (RCAF), took off for a mission to Kassel in Germany from a station (airfield) in or near Linton on Ouse.
One of the crew members was Flight Lieutenant A J Whiston RCAF. He departed for his mission at 17:56.
He flew with a Avro Lancaster (type II, with serial DS778 and code EQ-U). His mission and of the other crew members was planned for Saturday, 23 October 1943.

shows the aircraft to be DS 704 not DS 778
