I would very much to know if any one remembers my second uncle Dr. Harold Burch Riser who was present at D-day, sorry have no details as to where or when but was taking care of injuries from D-Day. And he was never able to talk about any of his experiences. Must have been terrible. I am so grateful to all that served and this is a great sight. Fred Vogels @ 2017-09-01, 19:45
I would like to know if anyone has any information on LT CMDR Leo F. Crowley. I am his grandaughter and an officer in the United State's Army bearing our family name. He was a reserve officer, Sea Bee, civil engineer, from Detroit, Mi. I am not sure of his unit but I am positive that he was on Normandy- Omaha Beach. I believe his unit was mixed somewhere with the 25th NCR. He was in Plymouth England before the invasion. Also, he received the Navy Maringe Corps medal for his efforts. If you have any information please contact me at This means the world to me. Thank You Julie ( ) Fred Vogels @ 2017-09-01, 19:45
I run a professional theatre company - we use many backing tracks and often have to have custom tracks made when we can't find ready made tracks. I've just downloaded 'The Army The Navy and The Air Force' for a forthcoming World War II show and I have to say it's the highest quality track I've found - truly excellent. I'll certainly be coming back to this website in the future. Best wishes, Sian Ross [email protected] Fred Vogels @ 2017-09-01, 19:45
I really enjoy your website. I just recently traveled to the Normandy region. To Caen and Omaha, Juno & Sword beaches. I really love WWII history and it was amazing. Fred Vogels @ 2017-09-01, 19:45

I just wanted to say hello. I wish you much success with this website. Fred Vogels @ 2017-09-01, 19:45
I have now listened to your music and the film of Night and Fog three times and each time I listen and watch it is more emotional than the time before. I think you capture the horrific atmosphere portrayed in the documentary brilliantly. Your music exactly matches the imagery of the film and transmits the ghastly inhumanity of the camps in WW2. I have just joined this interesting and informative wesite. As an organiser of a 60th anniversary event myself I appreciate all the hard work people put in to websites and contacting members etc. Our event is in 6 days and so is our wedding, so I am extremely busy to say the least! Our event is being held for the veterans and over the past 14 months I have met some wonderful people, veterans, re-enactors, organisers etc. I hope to get to know some of you from this site and would like to say to Fred, you are a truly amazing person - keep up the good work and I hope to pop in often to this site. All the best Marie-Karen Fred Vogels @ 2017-09-01, 19:45
I enjoyed the lesson of history. It is good to keep to keep these memories alive. I had a brother in the 44 div. in that area. Thank You. Annie Phillips Fred Vogels @ 2017-09-01, 19:45
I did not think I would have the time to write a recommendation for Fred this week because I have my recital coming up on Sunday Dec 4... However I started to look at one of the videos that he put music on... and it was AMAZING... Previously I watched a war video with his music ... and it was extremely compelling.. but never in the way... The video I watched right now about aging disease (Cockayne disease) was very powerful. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lOVWAODzJkY (you need to be able to speak/understand Dutch for it though) You almost don't notice the music but it's there and enhances the story. I watched Night and Fog (nuit et brouillard) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LXWlIgWEPmI a while ago and the music is extremely compelling... I cried. I recommend Fred for any projects like that! I am the proud daughter of Brite Randall Harris who served his country proudly with the 29th Division 116th Infantry Fox F. Co. Blue & Grays. If anyone knows and remembers serving together with him I would love to hear from you. God Bless the USA... Thank you to our Veterans isn't enough... Fred Vogels @ 2017-09-01, 19:45
I am researching the WWII History of my father in law who was a radar operator on a C-47. He was in the 49th Troop Carrier Squadron. On D-Day he flew with Captain Jack Cardwell. His name was Sgt. Paul Decker. Mission Boston, Serial #22, #2. The lead paratrooper on the plane was 1st Lt. Napierkowski.. I am also searching for a copy of the history of the 49th Troop Carrier Squadron. I have studied the book Pulse and Repulse (Troop Carrier & Airborne Teams in Europe during WWII) by H. Rex Shama. Mr. Shama was a glider pilot in the 49th. Fred Vogels @ 2017-09-01, 19:45
I am looking for information regarding the 737th Amphibious Assault Task Force information. My late Grandfather served in the last 2 campaigns headed by General Patton. Any information would be much appreciated. Fred Vogels @ 2017-09-01, 19:45
I am looking for anyone from the First Army 215th Signal Corps that landed on D-Day with my step-father Russell Reininger. He is 90 yrs. old now and would love to hear from anyone left that he served with. Thank you all for your service. Lynda Tanner Fred Vogels @ 2017-09-01, 19:45
Fred Vogels @ 2017-09-01, 19:45
Honour to those who fought and died for our freedom across the world. Fred Vogels @ 2017-09-01, 19:45
Fred Vogels @ 2017-09-01, 19:45
Hi! Knappe site en nog veel succes!! My sincere greetings and best wishes! Fred Vogels @ 2017-09-01, 19:45

Hi, Fred! Wow, I am truly impressed with your music! It's absolutely beautiful. I sure do wish we didn't live so far apart from each other -- I would certainly love the opportunity to work with you. It's always been one of my dreams to sing with an orchestra! I especially love your jazz arrangement of You'd Be So Nice to Come Home to. Market Garden is very moving, indeed. I'm not closing the book on our possible collaboration in the near future ... Fred Vogels @ 2017-09-01, 19:45
