The story
The Allies land in Sicily for Operation Husky. Less than a year after the failure of Dieppe, the Anglo-Americans demonstrate the ability to put together a large-scale amphibious operation. Stalin, who had demanded the opening of a second front in Europe, is no longer alone against the German army.
