The story
On March 16 the units outposting the front were assembled and the 232nd Infantry advanced in the center of the Division sector with the 222nd Infantry on its right and the 242nd on the left. Composed of only two battalions, the Second having been assigned to Task Force Coleman, the regiment advanced with them abreast and captured all high ground south of Baerenthal before nightfall.
