The story
On 1941-08-12, Pilot R avn der Honert (Pilot Officer, RAF) with an unknown servicenumber, flew a Spitfire Vb with serial P8780 for this duty: Circus. His mission was not completed. Circumstances of the aircraft loss: Hit by flak. This aircraft was a part of squadron no. 611. The location for the map is the English Channel. Circumstances at the end of this mission for avn der Honert: he was wounded. There is no commemoration location known.
