The story
On 1944-05-21, Pilot W Kempka (Flight Sergeant, PAF) with servicenumber P-793267 flew a Spitfire Vb with serial BM565 for this duty: Ramrod 905. His mission was not completed. Circumstances of the aircraft loss: 10 Spitfires leaving Manston at 09.50 hrs. Shot down during a ramrod during the morning of the 21st May after crashing near Villiers,, France. This aircraft was a part of squadron no. 303. The location for the map is Villiers, France. Circumstances at the end of this mission for Kempka: prisoner of war (PoW). There is no commemoration location known.
