The story

On 1944-06-23, Pilot J Marciniak (Squadron Leader, PAF) with servicenumber P.0317 flew a Mustang III with serial EX970 C for this duty: unknown operation. His mission was not completed. Circumstances of the aircraft loss: Combat West of Dreux at Noon with FW-190. This aircraft was a part of squadron no. 306. The location for the map is Dreux, France. Circumstances at the end of this mission for Marciniak: he was killed. He is commemorated at: Polish Field of Honour at Grainville-Langannieres, Calvados (Originally buried in Crulai Civil Cemetery), France.
