52 aircraft claimed to have bombed the target and started large fires in the railway yards. DÜSSELDORF reports only 2 high-explosive bombs and 200 incendiaries, fire and damage at a water-purification plant, light damage to housing, no casualties.
Cologne reports bombs and damage to 119 properties, with 4 people killed and 15 injured.
Minor Operations: 6 Wellingtons and 1 Stirling to Ostend, 5 Hampdens minelaying off Wilhelmshaven. No losses.
