The story

GERMANY
69 aircraft - 38 Whitleys, 26 Wellingtons, 5 Hampdens - were sent to oil targets at Hamburg, Bremen and in the Ruhr and to railways at many other places. 2 Whitleys and 1 Wellington were lost. Hamburg reports 9 fires, 6 of them large ones, 1 civilian killed and 6 injured.

30 Blenheims attacked airfields at Rouen and Amiens with good results observed and no losses.

GERMANY
112 aircraft - 53 Hampdens, 37 Wellingtons, 22 Whitleys - to 15 oil and railway targets between Hamburg and Mannheim. 1 Wellington and 1 Whitley lost. Mnster reports many bombs with 6 people killed, the town's first dead of the war. Hamburg reports 1 person killed but no fires.
