The story

GELSENKIRCHEN
44 Wellingtons to the Nordstern oil plant but only 9 aircraft claimed to have hit the target. No losses. On the return of the bombers to England, what appeared to be a German aircraft landed among Hampdens of 57 Squadron at Feltwell. The flarepath was extinguished and the aircraft took off again.
HOMBERG
22 Blenheims and 22 Wellingtons to oil plant; 16 claimed to have bombed target. No losses.
11 Hampdens minelaying in Gironde; 1 lost.

STERKRADE
73 aircraft - 46 Wellingtons and 27 Whitleys - to the Holten oil plant. 1 Wellington and 1 Whitley lost.
HOMBERG
37 Blenheims and 33 Hampdens; the local oil plant was difficult to identify because of searchlight glare but 40 aircraft bombed. No losses.
BOULOGNE
43 aircraft to docks; many fires seen. No losses.
